These are some ideas that have been bumping around in my cranium for a while ( call me CRAZY )…I will be working most of these deep down in the water column and in particular, on the East Walker River. None of the residents have ever seen these and I have a sense there will be some surprises in store for my guys – when they attach some of these to their leaders and tippets…There is a wealth of material available through the ether on these types of patterns. I will include a couple of links at the bottom of the post for further reference, for those who might be interested…

These are all new patterns for me. They are mostly meant to be fished on the bottom. Given my “EXPERIENCE” with patterns I have worked on in the past, these nymphs ought to keep us busy on the water…
I know a few of these will be worked in front of, on the sides of and behind that rock….
Something to take a look at…
“Whatcha’ Tyin’ next O’Pop?”….my enquiring Grandson Miles wants to know…
NEXT: Some NINJA patterns for the Eastern Sierras…

I’d be interested in hearing if your Blue baby works any better than more natural colors.
Chris,
Here are two other BLUE patterns that some really Big Browns and Rainbows have clobbered on the East Walker:

I just hope I tie enough for Michael !!!
PT/TB
There is definately a spot for this color when it comes to trout.
Mark
wicked fly, really digging the collar on this bad boy
Mark,
Many think/believe the color BLUE is restricted to Winter fishing and Rainbow Trout – that has NOT been my experience on the East Walker River…in the Spring and through the Summer, into Fall, the Browns hopped all over BLUE…
Best,
PT/TB
TJ,
This is truly some great peacock:

Apologies for this comment being off topic. Not sure how else to contact you.
I’m writing to see if you would permit me to post your image captioned “Jean Marie Hon – AGAIN – with both rods above the Roaring Fork River, Aspen, CO, 1978″ on my website.
The site is:
http://oldfishingphotos.tumblr.com/
The site is comprised of my own vintage photos circa 1950-1980, some reblogs and other images secured with permission.
It is not commercial and credit, captioning and link backs would be supplied.
I enjoy Planettrout. I grew up in Michigan fishing the AuSable and have lived in Vancouver BC the last 40 years but enjoy all accounts of fishing that are personal and celebrate the spirit of the sport. Planetrout excels on all counts.
Regards-
Rick
