This is a Blingy Baetis. The Pearl Fire Fly over the Black Fluoro Fiber really stands out. As an option, for durability, one may coat the top of the wing case with UV resin…I this this guy will have some application in here:

I like using the TMC 103BL hooks for thin patterns. I also like using Roman Moser Shock Gum Loops when using these more fragile hooks and just generally too. They add about a Lb. of strength to the tippet material being used and lessen the straightening of said hooks on larger Trout that take the fly in heavy water…these are the shock gum loops:

This nymph is tied with Veevus Body Quill, a relatively new product which I believe will find it’s way into a lot of patterns in the near future. I like using the color black to imitate emerging Baetis nymphs…fish it from the bottom to just under the surface of the film…
