A second variation on Loren Williams pattern to imitate smaller Brown-ish stonefly nymphs. I would use these in larger CA freestone rivers on the Eastside like the West Walker River and the East Fork of the Carson River as well as some West Slope Sierra waters…see here for suggestions…they would work well on this water as well…

A further continuation on the Loren Williams pattern. I prefer stonefly patterns that are suggestive and that have a lot of movement built into their construction…I would fish this wherever these might be found and in the following manner …Below would be a good place to start the follow the migrating hatch upstream (just remember to stay well ahead of it)…
