Greg Vinci is a Fly Tier, Fly Fisherman, Concerned Environmentalist, Guide,Author, Photographer, Dad and owner of Sierra Pacific Products…He is also a neat guy…
I had done a post on two great Caddis patterns back in April and Greg found it yesterday ( 8.16 2010) and offered me a much better photo of his wonderful Gas Caddis that appears here:
GREG VINCI’S GAS CADDIS
These BEADS, in CLEAR, are used in the construction of the Gas Caddis:
His articles and patterns have appeared in a number of FF Magazines that I generally pick up including, Fly Fisherman Magazine, Flyfishing & Tying Journal and SOUTHWEST Fly Fishing, to name a few…He has an excellent article in the current issue of SOUTHWEST Fly Fishing on one of my favorite Eastern Sierra Trout Streams...RUSH CREEK...and the battle to save it…This VIDEO also explains what is going on with this beloved fishery…
Greg also gave me a little taste of a brand new pattern he has created called The X-Ray Caddis:
This is Greg’s Depth Charge Bird’s Nest…
He has also developed Vinci’s Crack Back Baetis and the double beaded Black Knight which appeared in Fly Fisherman Magazine (Dec 2009) and Flyfishing and Tying Journal ( Fall 2009) respectively…
Thank you GREG!!!

I like those patterns and I especially like the imaginative ways people come up with to show how they work…I am so visual…actually part of the enjoyment for me. Very nice work by Vinci and yourself…as usual.
